The Honduras Project

Watch this video to learn more about the Angel Gardens Center in Comayagua, Honduras.

Honduras

Our Mission

"The Angel Gardens Center"  is an educational enrichment day program. Through our outreach support services we bring  sustainable change to the community in joining  forces with  local leaders.

Our mission is to bring women out of poverty and restore hope by improving their quality of life. They gain a sense of purpose in seeing the greater plans God has for them.

Honduras is a very poor country with many struggling to provide for their families. In reaching families in need through the day care, gardens and the life skills programs, we can share God's love in serving others.

In Honduras, parents are required to purchase uniforms and supplies for their children's schooling.

The Angel Gardens Center, comes alongside families to help cover these costs.

We invest in families. Children receive free services at our Center and each child upon entering the Center receives a full diagnostic educational evaluation. If a child is given a diagnoses with special needs, we will assist in the family cost to help the child get the attention and therapy services needed.

The Angel Gardens Center

Gardens

The educational mission is to promote active learning with the emphasis on health and nutrition. Our single mothers are given the opportunity to participate in the work and development of the garden and enjoy the fruits of their labor. The garden is a community wide outreach program that feeds and supports children.

Parent Workshops

Parents are supported in their overall well being through helping hands. In our workshops, parents are able to express their needs, and find commonality in support of one another. They join in paying it forward by coming together to help maintain the facilities.

Our  young mother and child program meets once a week.

Daycare

The daycare gives parents the opportunity to explore their potential in the work place, while The Center offering free and safe child care for their children. The children are encouraged to be creative while learning in a structured environment and engaged in

play with their friends.

Health & Nutrition

Most families struggle to barely feed their children. Our fully equipped kitchen gives the children a healthy and balanced diet.

Medical Care

The children receive a free full medical checkup including eye care and dental care.  Our center also receives support from the local medical community.

Sewing

Our new sewing program provides women in remote areas with life skills training.

The goal in teaching these skills helps them out of poverty and gives financial assistance.
